Your storytelling sequence made me laugh out loud. Did you set your camera up with a timer to get those shots? I love that it's coming from the inside of the frige or pantry, what a different perspective. The lighting is really cool too, because of that.

Great use of angles! A very unexpected POV experience.

Wow, Mark! I like the way you chose black and white. It gives so much more emphasis to the timlessness of your subject's quest. Really enjoyable. Thanks for the laugh.

These are great! I like the combination of the lighting/ angles you use with a subject that's definitely familiar to all of us :-)

Hi, I'm back! I'm looking at these a second time and wondering what kind of camera you used for this. Did you set the exposure yourself, or opt for auto exposure?

My hat is off to you Mark. Nice work, I hope this photo post opens you up to experimenting with more photography. I think what you should look at is the power of photographs to tell a story. It appears, and this just could be me, that photography has lost its commercial power due to the amount of video. Think of how little news media uses photographs compared to photo spreads. Keep up the good work and I hope to see more of this.

This was pretty great. I definitely commiserate with you and your hunt! The angles were amazing! They helped express the emotions of each photo, while the black and white added to the angst of your search. Did you use a timer? Or did someone take the pictures for you?

Mark, I agree with the comments that one of the strengths of your pictures is the contrast between familiar subject - the hunt - and the interesting presentation - the lighting and angles. It allows your viewer the chance to think about, well, your experience, in a different way as there is a stark element to this. What thought process did you have in terms of deciding how to set this up? I am impressed. :)

Hi Everyone! So sorry I am just getting back to you now...I had a late night at work.

Thank you so much for all of your comments! I still need to make some rounds and check out some of yours as well, so please don't be offended if I haven't commented on yours.

Melissa- I used a Samsung 10 megapixel dig for this. I played around with the scene and the options for what seemed like forever to get the right lighting and exposure. I don't know how you do this every day!

Also, to everyone- I was indeed searching for food when I had this idea. And I did use the timer, but I put it on like 30 seconds so I had no idea when it was coming and just went about searching until it went off.

Thanks so much again for the comments!
